Getting to Know Kyle Burke, a SmartWatt Corporate Accountant

Kyle Burke is a Corporate Accountant II/MIT in our Albany, New York Office. In this role, his main responsibilities are to manage our Commercial, Industrial and Institutional Division project accounting and corporate credit card accounting. He typically spends his days creating estimates, reconciling bank statements, reviewing month end financials, ordering project materials and invoicing customers. He is unofficially responsible for making everyone in the office laugh and leading the charge to the dance floor at holiday parties.

SmartWatt in the News: Leveraging Prop 39 Funding for CA Clean Energy Job Creation

For the past year, SmartWatt Energy's Placentia and Rocklin, California offices have worked jointly with the California Conservation Corps (CCC) Energy Corps crews to make energy solutions more affordable for California's K-12 schools and community colleges. This year, they expanded the relationship and began leveraging the Proposition 39-funded program to launch an internship program in their Placentia office, which has become a feeder program for new hires in their California offices.

Getting to Know Jessica, a SmartWatt Engineer Intern

Jessica LaVigueur is a Engineer Intern in our Rochester Office. Our Engineers are involved in the development, auditing and design of energy efficiency projects, mainly for industrial, warehousing and municipal clients. Jessica joined SmartWatt through the Rochester Institute of Technology’s (RIT) Engineering Co-op Program this winter. She is gaining real work experience and insight into her career field, while we are benefiting from her enthusiasm and innovative ideas. Jessica is a junior at RIT, studying Mechanical Engineering Technology. Before her internship with us, she balanced school and work as an administrative assistant for the University of Rochester Medical Center Cardiology.

Getting to Know Samantha, a SmartWatt Program Administrator

Samantha Downs is a Program Administrator in our Portland, Oregon Office. She is directly responsible for overseeing all administration tasks for our local utility program. She handles the scheduling and material orders for each job, and works closely with our small business customers to ensure they get whatever help they need to ensure a seamless customer experience. Samantha joined the SmartWatt team in 2013 after working as a Project Coordinator for a wireless network service company. Her first job was working as a waitress at a mom and pop burger joint in her hometown of Hubbard Oregon; located approximately 15 miles south of the Portland Office.
